enchantedengland: enchantedengland: 100% of persons with the surname Smedley emigrated from England, and 90% of these persons harked from Derbyshire, which is in the East Midlands. My mother’s maiden name was Smedley, and my ancestors track back to Sawley, which is a village of about 6,500 in far south-eastern Derbyshire.     There is no actual REASON I am telling you these facts other than I wanted to. Oh and here is a secretive fact about the Tumblr Famous travelthisworld from whom I am reblogging this: she has these exact same ancestors too    #Does anyone live around Sawley? OOOOO WRITE ME!!    #One would think these facts would qualify me for British citizenship but sadly they do not I want to live here.
