Thror’s Map.
I’m working on inking a 9”x12” version on Bristol using steel-nibbed pens. Penciled everything in first, then went over it in black ink.

Part of the Misty Mountains, specifically the Ettinmoors, inked in my Moleskine. We’re in Troll Country now.

I find inking mountains oddly relaxing, especially with a steel nib pen. Done in violet ink in my Moleskine sketchbook.

“One does simply walk into Mordor”…. but somebody had to map the place. 9x12” Bristol, ink and watercolor. Up in my Etsy as well.

That map that I’ve been posting bits and pieces of? You know, the one of Tolkien’s Wilderland from The Hobbit? This is the whole thing. It was *fun* to draw. I’m really pleased with the way the Misty Mountains turned out.

Mouse Territories of the Northern Reach. Inspired by David Petersen’s own Mouse Territories map found in the Mouse Guard series. This measures 11x14”, done on Bristol paper with watercolour pencils, steel nib pens and ink. I also listed a “custom fantasy map” on my Etsy, Greyed Out, because I like doing them and I feel like everyone should have a map somewhere in their homes.

Progress. I’m working on a map of my own Mouse Territories for a possible Mouse Guard RPG game sometime. The full map measures 11x14 on Bristol paper, stained with coffee. Water is done in watercolor pencils.
